- The slaveholder named Vincenzo Lomellini sells an enslaved Russian woman named Caterina, who is approximately 18 years of age, to a man from Barcelona named Gabriel Diomel, for 150 Genoese lire. The contract states that should the enslaved Caterina be discovered in Genoa anytime after Gabriel has left the city, then she will revert to becoming the property of Vincenzo and that Vincenzo would not be obligated to return any part of the sale price to Gabriel.
