- The slaveholder named Dorino de Vernacia sells an enslaved Russian child named Caterina, who is approximately 13 years of age, to the silk merchants Paolo and Giorgio Carpenino, for 180 Genoese lire in income from shares of Casa di San Giorgio for the year 1455. The buyers Paolo and Giorgio had the option to return the enslaved Caterina within four months should she be suffering from any ailments or succumb to the vices of drunkenness, theft, or prostitution.
