The slaveholders named Brigida and Battistina Spinola, nuns from the monastery of Santa Barnaba, sell an enslaved Hungarian woman named Elena, who is approximately 33 years of age, to a wool merchant named Stefano de Clavaro for 130 Genoese lire. Elena is present during the transaction and declares herself to be a Hungarian. The contract also states that the enslaved Elena had been purchased earlier in same year from the slaveholder Domenico de Ronco and that the nuns had presented the earlier contract, enacted by the notary Bartholomeo de Goano.
