- The slaveholder and oar-maker named Bartolomeo de Vulturo leases out an enslaved Circassian woman named Maddalena, who is approximately 20 years of age, to a certain Giuliano Torre, for a term of 3 years and total payment of 55 Genoese lire. The amount is to be paid by a certain Pietro de Iugo. The enslaved Maddalena is leased for the purpose of wet-nursing since the agreement stipulates that she may be returned if she is not able to produce milk for this purpose. The contract also places restrictions on her movement, stating that must remain within Genoa, the Bisagno Valley, the Polcevera Valley, and the commune of Voltri for the duration of the lease.
