- The slaveholder named Giacomo Maruffo leases out an enslaved woman named Anastasia, who is approximately 28 years of age, to a nobleman named Giovanni Battista Centurione, for a term of 3 years and a total cost of 50 Genoese lire, to serve as a wet-nurse for the children of Battista. The enslaved Anastasia was named as the sister of Giacomo Maruffo, which suggests that she may have been the child of Marcellino Maruffo and an enslaved woman. The contract also states that should the enslaved Anastasia become pregnant during the term of the contract, then she can be returned to the household of Giacomo and Giovanni Battista would recieive back his 50 lire. The contract was extracted.
