- The slaveholder and silk merchant named Giacomo de Vegetis leases out an enslaved Circassian woman named Catalina, who is approximately 24 years of age, to a nobleman named Tobia Pinelli, for a term of 3 years and total payment of 60 Genoese lire. The lease is for the purpose of wet nursing. Giacomo is represented in the contract by the silk spinner named Viceto de Carmagnola who serves as his representative. If at any time during the lease the enslaved Catalina is unable to provide sufficient nursing, then she can be returned and the amount for the remaining period returned to Tobia. Tobia also lends Viceto another 20 Genoese lire as part of the contract.
