- The silk merchant named Marco Verina leases out an enslaved Russian woman named Margarita, who is approximately 32 years of age, to a certain Cosmo Spinola, for a term of 3 years at a total cost of 50 Genoese lire. The contract obligates Margarita to serve as a wet nurse for the wife of Cosmo, who is currently pregnant. The contract also states that if the enslaved Margarita, who is also pregnant, dies in childbirth then the 50 lire will be returned to Cosmo.
