- The slaveholder named Enrico Squarciafico purchases insurance against the risk of death from childbirth from the underwriter Cattaneo Grimaldi for an enslaved Tatar woman named Agnese, who is approximately 32 years of age and about seven months pregnant, for 150 Genoese lire. The term of the insurance is four months. The insurance is declared payable in interest of the shares (paghe) of the Casa di San Giorgio issued for the year 1454. Enrico is absent during the transaction and is represented by the enacting notary Tommaso Duracino.
