- The slaveholder and merchant named Damiano de Franchi purchases insurance against the risk of death from childbirth from the underwriter Leonardo di Negro for an enslaved woman named Cazina, who is from the Canary Islands and is approximately 40 years of age, for coverage of 175 Genoese lire. She is indicated as about five months pregnant and the term of the insurance is six months. Damiano is absent at the enacting of the contract and is represented by the enacting notary Tommaso Duracino.
