She had been purchased from the Genoese merchant Giovanni Antonio Cavatia in August 1485 (the previous summer) in a transaction recorded in Giovanni's private account book. The contract also specifies that Linor must remain in the city of Genoa for the next three years. An exception to the restriction of movement is made in the case that the bishop of Accia (one Bartolomeo Pammoleo) requests her, then she may relocate freely.
