The testament stipulated that Valentino would be freed after five additional years of service to the heirs of Benedetto. Valentino served the heirs for part of the five years and then paid Costanza an unspecified sum of money in lieu of the remaining years of service. Costanza and Pietro retain the right of patronage. The contract was extracted.
