- The slaveholder named Battistina Delfino manumits an enslaved Ruthenian woman named Maddalena, who is approximately 65 years of age. The contract notes that Maddalena had worked as a household servant for the family of Battistina and for her deceased spouse Stefano de Sopranis for over forty years as well as serving as a wet nurse for several of her children. It also mentions that Battistina came into possession of Maddalena through her dowry from Stefano through a contract enacted by Oberto Foglietta in 1461. Maddalena agrees to work as a servant for Battistina for the remainder of Battistina's life as a condition of the manumission. Battistina and her heirs retain the right of patronage. The contract was extracted.
