Based on a unpublished document dated 18 February 1446 and preserved at the archives of Genoa, a reconstruction is made of the biographies of some Genoese of Pera, who in the middle of the fifteenth century were engaged in trading activities with Moldavia and Poland. The conclusion is reached that they were all members of the Genoese elite, which indirectly proves the importance of this commercial artery known at the time under the name of the "Moldavian road".
