- This archival item is a register of the income and expenses related to the gabella sclavorum et sclavarum of 1413, that is, the tax paid on the sale of enslaved persons. This was a tax of L. 2.10.10 paid for the sale of an enslaved person, with half paid by the seller and half paid by the buyer. The register is in the form of a ledger, with accounts opened for the taxpayers (fols. 3–51), a summary of the income (fols. 73–78 and 83), and expenses of the consuls and the various collectors (fol. 93). The item is completed by a cash journal (fols. 97–105) and by three lists with the names of the consignees of enslaved persons arriving on ships belonging to Pagano de Blaxia, Gaspare de Savinione, and Tommaso Squarciafico (fol. 110 (pp. 1'-3'; cc. fols 3v–52v, 70r–105v, 113r–129v, 137r–144v; p. 4'), The entries are dated from 6 February 1413 to 15 March 1420.
