The slaveholder named Bartolommea Fontana and her son Giovanni de Roncaiolo manumit an enslaved Circassian woman named Margarita, who is approximately 36 years of age. The enslaved Margarita had been leased to the notary named Gaspare Grotta for a term of 10 years. The enslaved Margarita renounces a 25 lire bequest made to her in the testament of Bartolomeo de Roncaiolo enacted on 28 August 1425 in order to secure her freedom and she also agrees to complete the 21 remaining months of service to Gaspare. Bartolommea and Giovanni retain the right of patronage.
