A person who works as a weaver of flax or linen. These were craftspeople who created cloth by weaving threads together. Weavers would use a loom to weave the threads together to form fabrics. This generally refers to a trade active from the Middle Ages through the Industrial Revolution when the process was taken up by machine looms.
