Melica was an enslaved Bulgarian child who was active in the eastern Mediterranean and Genoa during the later fourteenth century. She was purchased in the eastern Mediterranean around 1385 from an Ottoman merchant and was brought to Genoa, where she was attested as a servant in the household of Teramo Ittaliano in the spring of 1393.
