Giovanni de Portofino was a slaveholder active in the late fourteenth and early fifteenth century Genoese Mediterranean. He was also the chaplain of the church of San Pietro in Portovenere.
The slaveholder and monk named Giuliano Sclavina sells an enslaved Russian child named Margarita, who is approximately 14 years of age, to a certain Giannotto de Sancto Ambroxio, for 66 Genoese lire.
The slaveholder named Antonio de Cavo manumits an enslaved Bulgarian woman named Anna. The enslaved Anna agrees to work as a household servant for Antonio for the next seven years as a condition of manumission. Antonio retains the right of patronage.
