The slaveholder named Megollo Lercari leases out an enslaved Circassian woman named Cristiana, who is approximately 35 years of age, to the merchant named Matteo de Scipionibus, for 60 Genoese lire and a term of 10 years. The enslaved Cristiana had already been exchanged between the two principals about nine months earlier at which point the term of service had begun.
The slaveholder named Megollo Lercari manumits an enslaved Circassian woman named Cristiana, who is approximately 35 years of age, and who had just been leased in the previously enacted contract for a term of ten years. The manumission takes effect after the term of service. Megollo retains the right of patronage.
The slaveholder named Giacomo de Sancto Salvatore leases a household servant (fantesca) named Lucia to the cheesemaker named Pietro de Pluma, for a term of three years and for total payment of 60 Genoese lire. Lucia is to serve as a wet nurse.
The slaveholder and nun named Costanza Spinola, from the monastery of San Sepulcro di Sampierdarena, with the consent of the abbess Argenta Salvago, frees an enslaved Russian woman named Caterina, who is approximately 30 years of age. Costanza retains the right of patronage should Caterina die without heirs born from a legitimate marriage. The manumission contains a conditional employment clause that states that if Caterina chooses to work for a salary with another employer, she must first offer her services to Constanza or the monastery, and if they should match the salary offered by an outside empolyer, then Caterina is obliged to continue her service to Constanza them. The contract also states that Caterina will retain all personal property she had acquired before the manumission.
