Romània Orientale (RO) is a accademic journal that welcomes original contributions in all areas of Romanian Studies. It was founded in 1988 by Luisa Valmarin and currently the editor-in-chief is Angela Tarantino. The aim of the journal is to publish, first of all, high-quality linguistic, cultural and literary research focused on the Romanian “space”. The journal contains both scientific essays (section CONTRIBUTI) and a section entitled PROPOSTE DI LETTURA in which fragments of Romanian works translated into Italian are presented. Periodically, we publish thematic numbers with the aim of integrating Romanian Studies into contemporary cultural and scientific debate. The languages of publication are all Romance languages and English. All essays are submitted to double blind-peer review.
