In the late middle ages, the loconym "Hispania" was a general reference to the Spanish Kingdoms of the Iberian Peninsula, essentially the region of modern-day Spain.
Percivale Pallavicini was a Genoese merchant who was active in the second half of the fifteenth century. In 1460 he entered into the Gentile albergo and assumed their surname, but left sometime after 1487 after which he assumed his original surname.
