Margarita was an enslaved child with regional ancestry from the kingdom of Bosnia who was born around the year 1472 and held by the draper Francesco de Saulo in Genoa. She was sold by Francesco in 1484 to the Genoese nobleman Giovanni Cattaneo. She may have been born to another enslaved Bosnian woman in Genoa.
